My Coaching & Custom Made service is a memorable journey for women that wish to invest in an exclusive garment.
In creating custom-made pieces for you, I give the utmost attention to detail. I take into account your body type, skin and hair colour, lifestyle, the event (if any), and your unique personal qualities. Designing the perfect outfit is a thoughtful process.
It all begins with an initial consultation where I take the time to understand your vision. Then, drawing on my extensive knowledge of fibres and trims, I carefully source the highest quality fabrics and embellishments for your custom piece. Over several weeks, through fittings and appointments, you’ll get to know me and my meticulous method. The result is a made-to-measure garment that not only mirrors your essence but fits you perfectly.
Your ideas are shared. All information is given; whether the garment is for a particular event or an addition to your wardrobe. You may have some images to show me. I will ask you a series of questions to further understand you and your style. A design is discussed and possible fabric and trims.
The second appointment is made once you have confirmed my services. During this appointment your measurements are taken and fabrics and trims are finalised.
The sample fitting is a prototype of your design. Usually made in Calico or a cheaper fabric of similar drape to your garment being made. Here I work my magic fitting the sample perfectly while making sure all proportions are flattering to your body shape. I am known to alter a proportion 3-5mm where I see fit and clients witness the remarkable difference it makes.
From the calico I then transfer all alterations to the paper pattern and cut your garment with the upmost care. During this fitting your dress is not completely finished. The silhouette of the dress can be seen in this fitting. Alterations are made if any and any minor changes. Hemline is marked.
The garment is finished and labelled. You can opt to end the journey here however I do like to give your garment another good press and package it.
No fitting is required. Garment is picked up, beautifully pressed and packaged in a garment bag. I love and enjoy opening a bottle of bubbly with you to conclude our journey together.
